Military-Connected Student Support Forum with CAPS

Facilitated by Noreen Marsland, PsyD
Informal support with issues such as stress/worry, sleep, motivation, focus, recovering from setbacks, work/life changes, & relationships (personal and professional).

CAPS sessions are designed to provide practical strategies, information, and support regarding general well-being related issues.

Wednesdays 12 - 1 p.m. Weeks 3 - 10. 

In-person at the SVRC conference room.

Memorial Day

The university will be closed in recognition of Memorial Day on March 29th, 2023. 

The SVRC will be hosting an event on Friday, May 26th to honor this day to include a flag painting and brief memorial reading. 

 

Learning Strategies Workshops

Facilitated by Jaehoon Choi. 

Jaehoon is the SVRC's Learning Strategist Liaison from the Academic Achievement Hub. The Learning Strategies workshops include time management, note taking, collaborative learning techniques, and exam preparation. This program helps students gain strategies for managing university-level learning, achieve greater insight into how they best learn, and develop a growth mindset, which research shows improve students’ knowledge, skills, and abilities for success.
